Alstom and Nomad Digital – a shared vision
On 5 January 2017, Nomad Digital became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alstom.
Alstom and Nomad share a vision to make the Digital Train a reality, and Alstom’s heritage and pedigree in train manufacturing enables Nomad to accelerate the delivery of that vision.
As a world leader in integrated railway systems and a promoter of sustainable mobility, Alstom develops and markets systems, equipment and services for the railway sector. Entirely refocused on rail transport, Alstom manages the widest range of solutions in the market – from high-speed trains to metros and tramways – customised services such as maintenance and modernisation – and infrastructure and signalling solutions.
Headquartered in France, Alstom is present in over 60 countries and employs 31,000 people today.
Alstom – refocus on transport
With its refocus on transport, Alstom became an independent, agile and ambitious actor, uniquely positioned to define the future of mobility around the world. This is the context of the company’s defining 2020 Strategy.
