On-board communication solution for North European Metro Service

(Newcastle upon Tyne, 22 January 2015) Nomad Digital, will provide its market-leading on-board connectivity solution to nearly 100 trains, as part of an order from Bombardier.

Nomad will supply its new CCU R 4551 as the on-board communication system to route data from TCMS, CCTV and PIS applications via the track-side WiFi network, to the back-end systems of a North European Metro system.

Nomad Digital proposed the utilisation of a design which provides the Bombardier trains with a highly secure, advanced and functionally accomplished on-board communication system – incorporating global market-leading design innovations that are unique to Nomad.

The new train order affirms Bombardier’s strong position in the North European market and as a worldwide metro provider, also further establishing a working relationship with Nomad Digital – which now spans deployments across three continents.
