Nomad’s state-of-art WiFi solution for Stadler and Arriva Netherlands

Newcastle upon Tyne, 21 September 2016)  Nomad Digital, the world’s leading provider of passenger and fleet connectivity solutions to the rail industry, has successfully partnered with Swiss train-builder Stadler to deliver passenger WiFi to 36 new Arriva Flirt trains in the Netherlands.

Stadler will deliver the new trains to Arriva, who will manage services in the Limburg (south) area of the country. Nomad has an established partnership with Arriva in the Netherlands, and is the primary supplier of WiFi connectivity solutions on their current fleet of 101 trains. This new deployment further reinforces Nomad’s market-leading position in the Netherlands.

These state-of-the-art new networked trains built by Stadler have Nomad’s open connectivity infrastructure built into them. It also marks the first deployment of Nomad’s next-generation R4551 platform in the Netherlands, offering the very latest in next-generation technology and performance. Nomad’s newest compact WiFi router architecture provides a technology platform which incorporates new state-of-the-art technologies such as integrated next-generation modems and access points, enabling the quick integration of additional operational applications, providing a scalable, future-proofed solution to the customer.
