(Newcastle upon Tyne, 26 November 2018) Nomad Digital has had in place for several years certification and compliance to OHSAS 18001 and has taken the decision to transition well ahead of the international deadline to the ISO 45001 Standard. This transition conveys Nomads desire and commitment to maintain a strong safety management system and hold the safety of our people at the forefront of what we do.
Reece Donovan CEO at Nomad mentioned on the migration: “Migrating to this new International Standard shows our commitment to our employees, customers and interested parties that we take Occupational Health and Safety seriously and have the interests of our people at the heart of what we do. Our stance is to ensure every job we undertake is done safely or not at all. Our global operations all follow a safe system of work for site operations and ensure we have a robust process for carrying out work in depots, stations and in our managed offices”.
Nomad has in place a safety management system within its Business Management System which controls and covers all work operations and activities.
John Mills, Head of QHSE operations added: “This migration to the new standard is a nice step and recognition of the work we have put in to control and govern our site and office operations in respect to Occupational Health and Safety. Our systems and processes are maturing well and are designed to ensure we can complete tasks safely and have a pro active culture to share lessons, ideas and best practice in all aspects of OH&S for continuous improvement.
