(Newcastle upon Tyne, 21 September 2016) Nomad Digital, the world’s leading provider of passenger and fleet connectivity to the rail industry, will launch a new portfolio of operational tools for train operators at InnoTrans. These tools have been designed to help address the daily real-time monitoring, reporting and analysis challenges experienced by train operators today and in the future.
The new portfolio includes:
- ND Monitor – proactive real-time issue detection integrated with Nomad’s Helpdesk tools
- ND Fleetview – cloud based, real-time operational reporting across all fleets
- ND Insight – long-term performance analytics and insight across multiple data sources
ND Monitor is Nomad’s new real-time issue detection platform, featuring full integration with our Service Desk tools. This tool alerts Nomad’s dedicated customer Service Desk to key issues, enables fast review and problem detection, and allows for these alerts to be prioritised for action. The tool incorporates geo-zoning to reduce false positives, and automatic incident creation functionality, which in turn reduces ticket creation and response times.
ND Fleetview, the new cloud-based operational reporting software platform, offers operators the opportunity to make informed business decisions by really understanding the performance of their on-board connectivity solutions – by combining and orchestrating both near real-time and historical data. The operator benefits from easy access to this complex data, displayed simply in flexible formats which are extendable to multiple sources of information and visible on multiple devices.
Interactive dashboards summarise information which can be viewed in a secure environment with functionality that allows easy data export and the sharing of information. ND Fleetview provides deep insight into connectivity performance, offering the ability to create rules based custom Key Performance Indicators to simplify complex data relationships, ideal for management reporting. The software platform is aimed at the operational and technical roles in the business.
The ND Insight software tool has been recently upgraded to provide enhanced data exploration, analytics and dashboard functionality, allowing business users to trend and analyse data in either in tabular or graphical formats. This access to multi-dimensional data across all major aspects of the fleet operation facilitates the deep investigation of information on which important business decisions are based.
Importantly, these tools integrate data from disparate systems into one place and provide the supporting information for discussions with mobile operators and other relevant parties and stakeholders.
