Celebrating a great Learning @ Nomad Week 2021!

11 - 15 October 2021

Last week saw team Nomad come together to take part in Learning @ Nomad Week; a company-wide initiative set out to provide Nomad colleagues with engaging training delivered via online sessions, which are all themed around our core values: Expert, Trustworthy, Innovation and Collaboration, with a day also offering a focus on health and well-being.

Covering a variety of different sessions, the schedule is delivered internally by colleagues, including workshops, presentations, and demonstrations, with specific sessions delivered by external businesses too, this year including Translink and The Railway Benefit Fund.

Winner of the 2021 CIPD North East of Excellence Award in the Excellence in Organisational & People Development category, Learning @ Nomad Week enables our colleagues to come together and tailor their learning sessions around their own requirements, offering a choice of which sessions they attend over the week.

Samantha Link, Head of HR:

“Once again I’m overwhelmed by how well the week’s activities have been received across Nomad. People who don’t normally deliver training have delivered interactive and informative sessions for their colleagues, new starters have been in touch to tell us how much they enjoyed the week, and we heard a number of conversations mid-workshop where colleagues spotted useful opportunities for further collaboration.”

Each day began with not only a daily schedule including links to the live sessions but also recommendations on what useful training people could engage with outside of the sessions, in their own time whilst still in keeping with the theme of the day.

Xavier Champaud, Nomad Digital’s Managing Director, opened the week with a Welcome session, setting the scene and providing insight into what the week would entail whilst Nick Camara, Nomad Digital’s Global HR Director, delivered a closing speech sharing some highlights from the week and upcoming steps to further support our people’s continued development.
