(Newcastle upon Tyne, 22 December 2015) Nomad Digital, is delighted to announce that they have successfully implemented a proof of concept of Nomad Tech’s “Remote Online Condition Monitoring” (ROCM) solution on four Alstom X’trapolis units for Metro Trains Melbourne.
This ground-breaking project has been recognised as the first of its kind in Australia, and, while at the forefront of innovation, has the primary objective of delivering improved levels of reliability, safety and operational efficiencies.
Nomad Digital was selected by Metro in April 2015 to lead the design, development and implementation of the proof of concept, which included the management of a highly skilled international cross-functional team, including professionals from Nomad Australia, Nomad Tech Portugal, and Metro. The solution, which was implemented within 6 months, provides Metro with real-time condition and diagnostic based information across key operational elements, and creates a scalable framework for the future introduction of both predictive and remote condition based maintenance methodologies.
