PASSENGER WIFI PRAISED BY PUBLIC FOR UP EXPRESS LAUNCH

The Union Pearson Express (UP Express), an express rail service which connects Canada’s two busiest transportation hubs: Union Station in downtown Toronto and Toronto Pearson International Airport, opened to the public last Saturday, with its high-speed Passenger WiFi service amongst the big highlights for first time customers.

Within hours of its official launch, the Passenger WiFi service onboard UP Express was appreciated publically by a high number of passengers. Toronto Star Reporter, Robin Levinson King, posted, ‘Worth mentioning: very good free wifi on board the #upexpress’ – whilst Canadian Broadcaster and former World Champion athlete, Perdita Felicien, said, ‘Traveling on (UP Express) for first time this morning. Impressed with ride, service & free wifi. #Toronto @UPexpress

Nomad Digital was chosen to provide the Passenger WiFi solution for Union Pearson Express in January 2015, and has now delivered a full end-to-end design and integration, delivering best-in-class onboard connectivity for passengers.

Launched on Saturday 6th June, UP Express passengers are now able to access a multi-lingual, wide-device supported portal, as well as a seamless station-to-train connection, creating an environment in which customers can stay connected from the departing platform, to their destination.

Now delivering high-speed onboard internet on 18 cars for UP Express, Nomad’s design, integration and deployment will be accompanied by comprehensive customer management and end-user support, to ensure that the service maintains the highest levels of passenger satisfaction during some of the service’s busiest periods.
