Nomad’s partnership with Network Rail extended

(Newcastle upon Tyne, 28 June, 2017)  Nomad Digital, the world’s leading provider of passenger and fleet connectivity solutions to the railway industry, has extended its contract with Network Rail in provision of on-train connectivity servers.

Network Rail’s infrastructure monitoring fleet surveys the nation’s rail infrastructure to monitor the health of the railway and aid early detection of potential issues.  This uses a number of technologies including ultrasonics, track geometry and plain line pattern recognition.  The infrastructure monitoring fleet collects terabytes of data from across the country every day, while Nomad’s on-board connectivity servers enable Network Rail to transmit this vital data to their off-train data storage for processing and analysis.
