(Newcastle upon Tyne, 1, April, 2016) Nomad Digital, the world’s leading provider of wireless connectivity and ICT solutions to the rail industry, is delighted to be attending and presenting at SmartRail Europe, this month.
The event in Amsterdam (Passenger Terminal) from 19-20 April, is the leading European congregation for discussing the future technological opportunities and challenges facing the industry, showcasing innovative solutions and creative insights.
As well as exhibiting at the event (Stand C8), Nomad will also be addressing an audience of leading industry influencers, discussing the fact that ‘The Digital Train is on the platform’ on Day 1, as well as ‘IT fleet management strategies for cost reduction’ on Day 2.
Nomad’s Commercial Director Jay Saw will explain how Nomad’s vision has now become a reality with the tangible arrival of the Digital Train, and how it is benefitting - and will continue to benefit - train operators across the world.
Nomad’s Jay Saw said: “Traditionally the conversation has always been about passenger WiFi, but this is too narrow and restrictive a starting point. The real innovators in rail are looking at a longer term, future-proofed scenario of building a networked train, considering solutions that can grow and evolve over time in a low-impact and cost-effective way to support the growing complexity of rail digitisation.”
Nomad is preparing for a host of industry events this year, to meet face-to-face with its customers. Jay will also be presenting at the Train Communications Systems conference in London from 8-9 June, while the company will have another impressive stand presence at InnoTrans this year, building on its attendance over the last 10 years.
