Alstom and Nomad Digital – a shared vision

On 5th January 2017, Nomad Digital became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alstom.
Alstom and Nomad share a vision to make the Digital Train a reality, and Alstom’s heritage and pedigree in train manufacturing enables Nomad to accelerate the delivery of that vision.
As a world leader in integrated railway systems and a promoter of sustainable mobility, Alstom develops and markets systems, equipment and services for the railway sector.  Entirely refocused on rail transport, Alstom manages the widest range of solutions in the market – from high-speed trains to metros and tramways – customised services such as maintenance and modernisation - and infrastructure and signaling solutions.
Alstom recorded sales of €6.9 billion and booked €10.6 billion of orders in the 2015/16 fiscal year. Headquartered in France, Alstom is present in over 60 countries and employs 31,000 people today.

On 4 April 2018, Alstom bought 21net as part of its digital mobility strategy.  As of 1 July 2018, 21net was integrated into Nomad Digital.
